… ExpandĢD side scrolling murder has not been this fun since Prince of Persia. It's familiar yet fresh, and if you're at all interested, you should totally buy it. Ågren gets to do a bigger and better sequel with those things, but if not, this will suffice. More level variety, weapons, and especially moves/tricks to bring the baddies down. So why only an 8? The final product is a great pick-up-and-play game that unfortunately would benefit from more of everything. Max Payne is one of my all time favorites, and this reminded me of that magic. Slow motion is generous and feels top notch. The creative sequences at the end of each level chunk are particularly stellar and serve as eye candy. The story is non-existent, and that's just fine. Break up the high octane running and gunning a bit with dynamic sequences like a thrilling motorcycle chase or slow it all down and take a moment to think through a series of clever (and possibly fatal) physics-based puzzles. Twist and turn through the air while aiming both hands at priority threats or line up a perfect ricochet to drop an unsuspecting gangster from behind. Unleash a torrent of destruction with an incredible level of control over both your weapons and your body.
